Car salespeople talk - Vocabulary
1. Five Liner - This is a short version of a credit app only requiring 5 pieces of info. Used by salespeople to give the numbers quickly to a customer is who is usually in a hurry.
2. The Four Square - Sometimes referred as the worksheet. This is where numbers are written down regarding down paymnent, value of the trade, monthly payment, price of the car, tax and license. Negotiation begins with this important tool.
3. The Road to a car sale according to the managers ( in this sequence ).
a) Meet and Greet - The salesperson greets the customer and get to know them.
b) Investigation - Finding out wants and needs
c) Land 'em on a car - Salesperson helps the client pick the right car.
d) Test drive - This where many salespeople have trouble. The feel of the wheel will seal the deal. Some customers do not want to test drive.
e) The write up - The four square is introduced to the customer and a credit app is filled out.
f) The close - both the customer and the desk manager agree on a number that is fair.
g) Delivery - The car is delivered clean and the salesman goes through the whole car. Then the customer takes the car home.
